The challenge
The State of Morelos created a Digital Transformation Agency to modernize how its government works, but many internal processes across state agencies still ran on paper and spreadsheets.
What we built
One Softr platform where the agency's own team builds internal apps for state agencies, from public works tracking and field registration to IT equipment control and staff training, with Base Flows helping build the apps and keeping them running.
About the project
The State of Morelos, in central Mexico, created a Digital Transformation Agency to modernize how its government works. Many internal processes still ran on paper and spreadsheets. The agency chose Softr as the platform for its internal apps, built and run by its own team.
The work is a collaboration between Softr and the Government of Morelos, with Base Flows supporting the agency's team. We helped build several of the apps and stay on as technical support: answering questions, designing automations, reviewing data structures and fixing issues so the apps keep running as more people use them.
The apps cover everyday government operations. Public works are tracked by municipality and agency, with reports that support decisions. Field teams register residents and the services they receive during community service days, on site. IT equipment assigned to each agency is controlled in one place, with restricted access and an activity log. Agency liaisons use a digital agenda to register digital initiatives and sign up for training, and the same platform handled the scoring of an art contest.
Everything runs on the same foundation. Softr Databases and Airtable hold the data, role-based access keeps each agency's information with the people who should see it, and automations turn records into ready-to-download PDF documents.
The result is fewer errors and duplicate records than manual registers, and a government that adds new apps on a platform its own team already knows, instead of starting a new software project for every need.
